Windows 7. Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 Update 2.
First, when you download the toolkit, the zip file and subsequently uncompressed files have to be unblocked before they can be used. This is not noted in your installation procedures. Second, and this one I have not solved, I added a tab to the toolbox in VS2013.2 and add the Ajax controls by choosing the .dll file. The tab fills with the controls, then disappears, giving the error, "Tab 'Ajax Controls' was hidden because one or more toolbox items were added that are not enabled in the active designer." I find no instructions on how to remedy this! Can you please help? Thank you.
Comments: I recommend you use the AJAX Control Toolkit installer, which comes with the 15.1 version. This new installer automatically registers the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit components into the toolbox of all available Visual Studio versions that you have installed on your system. With this new installer the problem will disappear.
