Currently, the HtmlEditorExtender will generate different HTML markup depending on the browser. For example, when you click the Bold button when using IE then the HtmlEditorExtender generates <STRONG> STRONG tags. When you use the HtmlEditorExtender with Chrome, then <B> B tags are generated. Each browser generates different HTML.
I propose a new feature for the HtmlEditorExtender which would convert markup into canonical markup. For example, all <STRONG> STRONG tags would be converted into <B> B tags. Regular expressions would be used on the client to convert the HtmlEditorExtender markup into a canonical set of tags.
